What is your favorite travel memory?

My favorite travel memory is in February 2018, the first time that I went to Turkey.

At that moment, I found a local family on a website, then I stayed in their apartment one week. Zubedy and her mother, really kind and lovely, they prepared the traditional Turkish food for me. We talked about different cultures, history of Turkey, opinion about marriage and so on. I really appreciate it.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Definitely. Silk Mandarin not only a company but also like a good tutor: they will stand by you when you face difficulties. If you make a mistake, they will help you to analyze it and discuss it with you, then find a way to improve your job.

They also have an evaluation system to urge you to become better.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

Most of my students have their splendid story in their life. I prefer to tell the most impressive story from my student.

Cherri is a lovely lady; she came from America. She told me that she had a dream that she could come to China and study the Chinese language. She used to try many ways to find a place where she could learn the Chinese language, but in her hometown, she failed because she was already 65 years old.

She was so happy that she found our school, and she really loves Shanghai and loves learning the Chinese language, even though it’s really difficult for her, but she never thought to give up.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I prefer to choose the Intensive 30 group class program. First, I would like to choose a duration that I can really indulge in studying one language. Second, I would like to study with classmates because we cannot learn from the teacher, but also can learn from each other. We can help each other to get progress; no need to say I also can make friends!

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

Our boss loves Chinese culture, so he knows how beautiful Chinese language is, and he used to be a Chinese student, so he also knows the feeling when a foreigner learning Chinese well.

From his angle, we can understand our students well, and he also pays attention to the growth of staff, which contributes to all our staff's growth and company development.

I am proud of our team all the time.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

The biggest factor, I think, is the development goals because where the company goes depends on what's the goal of the company. It's like a man sailing in a boat: if he cannot see the lighthouse, he will lose his way.

As a company, like everyone on the boat, they know their destination, and everyone can put all their effort into it.
