My name is Brenda Sosa Guajardo. I am 26 years old, I am a graphic designer. I enjoy outdoor activities. I like to read and meet new people.

What is your favorite travel memory?

My favorite travel memories always involve visiting museums of any subject, especially art. I love getting lost in the streets of new places, listening to the language of the place where I am, eating delicious food and enjoying the company of the people I go with, I think it’s an interesting way to really get to know people.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I think that working with children is always an apprenticeship; I am impressed that they still do not have stereotypes and they usually tell you exactly what is in their mind at the time; they speak the truth and make you laugh a lot with their occurrences. Seeing their shortcomings helps you see their needs and motivates you to give your best.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

It’s not a story but an experience. One day, we arrived at the classroom and a government program had just visited the school and they gave sweets to everyone. As soon as we arrived, we all ran to give us one of their sweets. I was touched by the fact that they wanted to give us, as they don’t get gifts very often.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

The volunteer program is certainly amazing. The atmosphere in the classroom is an unforgettable experience; the children have a unique mood, so you’re going to laugh a lot and finally, the experience of living with other international volunteers is the perfect excuse to make friends, get to know new cultures and enjoy while living in the Caribbean.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

In our team, we all participate to solve any need for the foundation. The attitude with which we go about every day helps to motivate everyone, including parents and children. We are trustworthy people and we are available with suggestions and improvements that we can make; we are aware of all our volunteers, and most of all, we have a true friendship that has helped us to achieve the goals we propose.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

To have success, the most important factor is the desire to be better in everything we do, always keeping in mind that we are influences in the lives of children.

I think the world needs people who are interested in other people’s needs and we have this opportunity together with incredible people who leave their personal needs to give others the most precious thing we can give, and that is "our time in this life".
