What is your favorite travel memory?

My favourite travel memory is about the first week I arrived in Madrid a few years ago. I was doing my TEFL certification during that time, and I remember feeling like I could do everything I wanted. That’s also the same time when I learned that whatever you want in this lif - you can get it, you just need to work hard for it. That’s my motto nowadays.

I wanted to be an English Teacher and I worked very hard until I got my certification, but it doesn’t finish there: once I got a job and start working, I had to work hard every day to give my best at my job.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Since I started working for this company, I’ve definitely grown; I’m more mature, I can see the world differently now. I understand more about responsibilities and this “grown-ups world”.

I’ve learnt to work in a team, to trust my colleagues, to watch them and learn from them, but also to learn from my mistakes. Making mistakes is okay only if you are going to use them as a lesson not to get stuck there.

This job has taught me many life lessons but the most important one is to be patient, to work hard and to dream big.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

One of our students went back home after getting her TEFL certificate with us, and she has recently reached us to let us know that she got her dream job at her old high school. She told us how she got inspired by all her teachers and now she can be one of them and work with teenagers, getting involved in their lives and help them. She told us that our program gave her tools for this new role in her life and that’s what makes this job-worthy.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

As I got my TEFL certificate with this academy, I can for sure recommend it. They taught me how to be a teacher, yes, but how to be a great teacher. After going through this amazing experience, I feel more confident in a classroom, preparing my own material challenging myself and my students every day.

I would specifically choose the package that includes the TEFL course and the cultural activities; we have on our staff the best tour guide that you can find for Madrid.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

I think what makes TEMadrid unique is that, for us, every client is special.

We like to know each of our students and be part of their lives. We don’t want our students to pass their exams and leave. I see us as a big family where everyone is important; we are always concerning about each member, staff or student; what happens to one, happens to all of us.

I’m proud of my team every single day when I see all of us working hard to give our clients the best service.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

As here we deal with education, I think the key to success is to concentrate on giving the best service to our students - to prepare ourselves in order to help them pass their exams. We can never forget that we are dealing with human beings and their education, which is a pretty big deal. The moment we start thinking of having lots of students and pay less attention to the content of their class, that’s when we can fail. It is better to have 2 students, that with our course can become great teachers, than 100 of students that are going to be average teachers.

Our goal is that the teachers that get the training with us, become the best ones.
