What is your favorite travel memory?

My favorite memory was traveling to India and embracing the different subcultures and foods. It was familiar yet so unique and new. I enjoyed the beaches of Goa and the beautiful Himalayan trek. I learned about the ancient temples and more about the rich history surrounding the sacred Ganges river. I cannot wait to go back to Nepal, one of GVIs hubs.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I have always followed a meaningful career path and there was no better company than GVI to live that out. Personally, I have expanded my growth in international law and global recruitment. My favorite part might be meeting new people from every part of the world on a daily basis. We have amazing staff around the world that constantly teach me new things everyday.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

A previous intern completed a week-long program with the U.N Summer Academy focusing on sustainable development, she credits being selected for the Summer Academy to the experience gained during her GVI internship. I think this highlights the important role played by GVI in everyone's career. GVI is definitely a stepping stone for our interns.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

There are so many programs on offer, you should check out our website. I love our Greece base, so I would volunteer with Turtles in Greece. I am passionate about marine conservation and I absolutely love sea turtles. I hope to learn more about their lives and about how we can impact them positively in the future.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

GVI is unlike any organisation I have previously worked for and is committed to making a difference. GVI values each participant, volunteer, intern and student. I work with incredibly talented individuals who constantly challenge the status quo to pioneer in our field. It has been a privilege working with GVI and contributing towards the continued success.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

GVI is definitely a responsible organisation that cares about each team member. GVI has a wonderful communication structure and it is very easy to keep up to date with the latest news. I appreciate that we engage in honest and transparent communication with our clients to ensure that they feel empowered. Further, GVI invites diverse thinking and feedback.
