How do you think study abroad and international education will change over the next 10 years?

Caitlin: What I hope for the future of education is that the system becomes more individualized and fluid, allowing students to embrace different experiences that best suit their learning objectives and their journey.

Not everyone will have to follow the same linear path of high school to college, but instead students will be able to learn through travel (both international and domestic), work experience, online courses, independent research, community engagement...whatever they may choose!

What was your favorite traveling experience?

Caitlin: This past winter (2014), I had the pleasure of spending two months on the road (and in the air), traveling across and around the country (where I was actually going to high schools to talk about Sansori!)

What I loved most about this “nomadic” lifestyle was that no two days were alike. I was so grateful to see so many different cities, each beautiful in their own right, and meet wonderful people along the way. Some of my favorite cities included Portland, Seattle, Boulder, Chicago, Asheville, and all of the beautiful farmlands of Vermont and New Hampshire.
