About Program
The RP Discussion or Speaking course is designed specifically for students who are interested in learning English through speaking and listening. This course involves heavy interaction with other students through conversations that aim to improve communication skills. RP Discussion has four levels (Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced, and Proficiency) and emphasizes a rigorous speaking pedagogy. Lessons are aimed at activating a new language and encouraging students to integrate it with intensive oral skills practice, developing the soft skills needed in life for work, academics, and travel.
There are no official textbooks for this course. The nature of the course requires that the materials be prepared by the teacher of the class. At the beginning of each term, students will be given a ten-lesson handout for the course. The handouts include texts, pictures, audio recordings, and videos. The teacher is free to add or modify the handouts for each session.
