Fohuso

FOHUSO was founded in 2016, by Leo Maicco and a group of professionals and talented young Tanzanians, with the goal of supporting the community living in vulnerable conditions by improving their livelihoods. It then broadens its scope towards the community by currently observing the issues of environment, farming, “voluntourism”, arts and music, which is very important to stimulate the education and the internships.​

Leo was born in a poor Tanzanian family that could not even afford to send him to secondary school. This made him use his own efforts searching for a help. He succeeded to meet an organization known as Community Active in Development Association (CADA) which helped him to join the secondary school, paying everything until he finished it. After that, he joined the college and graduated on Wildlife Management on Ecology and then on Tourism on Ecology and Environmental Conservation.
