The Food Gap is the first gap year program celebrating food and cooking. It's not just for students interested in culinary school - we think eating and cooking in new countries is the best way to dive deep into the local history and culture. We send the semester studying food, taking cooking classes, eating together, cooking together, and creating a group cookbook. The program leaders will teach you everything you need to know about food photography, recipe development, and cooking for a group. With trips in Italy, Portugal, and Spain, this is the dream semester for food-minded young people to grow, learn, and to make friends for life.
