Yes, I recommend this program

First time out of the country!

I went to China during my spring 2019 semester. It is an amazing experience and I believe if you or anyone has the opportunity to go abroad go to China. You get to meet new friends and get the opportunity to experience a whole new culture. Challenge yourself by going somewhere that is not like the United States. Even though there was a language barrier I was still able to get by on google translate and the phrases I learned in my Chinese language class. For those who are scared to leave home do not worry. The staff becomes family and as long as you have apps that allow you to facetime with family it is ok. You might be nervous in the beginning, but by the 2nd week, you will be comfortable traveling around Chengdu with friends or even by yourself. Go to China, it is an amazing place to see.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Bring attire for the summer instead of winter/spring if you go during the spring semester. It gets much hotter quickly in china than in the states. I had 90 degree weather in March.
