South Africa has adopted a global goal to have 30% of the earth's land and sea under conservation by 2030. Gxulumanzi is focused on achieving this in the Eastern Cape and this is what volunteers will help achieve.
Gxulumanzi Volunteer Program offers volunteers the opportunity to assist with a unique conservation program on the coast of the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
The conservation program revolves around the conservation and rehabilitation of the Gxulu estuary and coast line, vulnerable coastal dune forest and valley thicket, and the assistance of an emerging conservancy. Gxulumanzi is part of the land stewardship program with other land owners in the area who are all committed to conserving and protecting the local biodiversity. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to help out with the local school, Fort Grey Eco program.
The program runs from 1-4 weeks and allows for a maximum of 8 volunteers. Volunteers are accommodated at Kingfishers cottage which hosts volunteers in d
