About Program
South Africa has adopted a global goal to have 30% of the earth's land and sea under conservation by 2030. Gxulumanzi is focused on helping to achieve this in the Eastern Cape and this is what volunteers will help work towards.
Gxulumanzi Volunteer Program offers volunteers the opportunity to assist with a unique conservation program on the coast of the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
The conservation program revolves around the conservation and rehabilitation of the Gxulu estuary and coastline, vulnerable coastal dune forest and valley thicket, and the assistance of an emerging conservancy. Gxulumanzi is part of the land stewardship program with other landowners in the area who are all committed to conserving and protecting the local biodiversity. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to help out with a local schools Eco program.
