Hekima

Hekima is an NGO based on children's rights registered in 2014 here in Tanzania under NGO Act No 24 of 2002
At the moment we are focusing on the Bukoba district, there are over 200 children living on the streets, who come from low-income and often broken families and now have to make a living on the streets themselves. We attempt to counteract this issue through our "Zero to Hero" project. With the help of various offers, for example in medical care and education, this project aims to improve the living conditions of children without shelter.

The goal is also to develop or deepen the connection to their families. HEKIMA works with organizations, businesses, communities, and individuals to create a supportive environment for the youth and help them develop their perspectives on life.
