Heritage Expeditions

In 2015 Heritage Expeditions is running a special expedition in the Russian Far East that follows on from our very successful Kuril Island Otter Survey of 2012. Conservation in Russia is severely underfunded. The Marine Mammal 15 day expedition running in September 2015 provides a way for passengers to assist with vital conservation work whilst having a fun, unique experience and learning about the marine mammals of the Commander Islands, Kamchatka Coastline and the Kuril Islands. We may see up to 14 species of whales, as well as fur seals, sea lions, sea otters and numerous endemic bird and mammal species.
