Very interesting experience in Humanitas University

I have just finished my second-year experience here in Humanitas University and I'm really happy about my experience. Why? Well, because in Humanitas University you can find a welcoming and international environment on a state-of-the-art campus, with all the services you need. Many places where study alone or with classmates, and many others where have rest or fun. there are two student houses on campus where you can stay all year round.
Moreover I find the medical school program is very complete, full of many different activities, practical and theoretical. In the University there is also a amazing Simulation Center where you can learn many different technical skills, but also how to manage a complete scenario in an environment like the real hospital one, or a surgical procedure.
There is also a strong connection with the Humanitas hospital and with the doctors who work there, this makes learning much more interesting and complete!

Amazing!

My first year in Humanitas University has been the best study abroad-experience of my life: if I had the chance to start again this year right now, I would do it without hesitation. I would say that Humanitas University is just a perfect place to study: I had the opportunity to learn lots of new things, improve my knowledge and to do lots of hands-on experiences (the Simulation Center is just impressive with its cutting edge technology). I really want to become a doctor one day and I have to thank all the Humanita's professors and doctors because they have really inspired me.
I am so thankful that I had this opportunity, and I am so excited because everything has just started: I have lots of things to descover here!
Thank you HU!

What would you improve about this program?
I would like to increase the library opening hours.

My Humanita Exeperience

I am a second year student of Humanitas University of Milan, Italy and for several aspects, I think this is a great medicine programme.
The relationships I have developed with staff and students from all part of the world, facilities and environment are wonderful.
The classes are held at the new Campus (it was built on 2017) and in the advanced Simulation Centre.
I have also had the opportunity to follow the lessons of very well prepared teachers and tutors. All of them are experts in their respective fields; they are practicing clinicians or world class researchers and very often both. Their English level is good, and it has never been an issue in teaching.
The teaching methods n general are based on a peer-to-peer approach and we study a lot on real clinical cases.
Next year (at the 3th one), I’ll also start my clerkship inside Humanitas Hospital, one of the most important Italian general hospital which is located 5 min from the university.
In general, Milan is a great city to live in, but finding housing is quite difficult. To solve this problem, this year the university open its own student house inside the Campus, few steps from the university. I’m not living there but I heard the accommodations are comfortable and the atmosphere is very nice.

What would you improve about this program?
More social activities in the campus. More connections with the city centre of Milan

Marketing Strategist

I'm Maura, I'm 27 years old and I was born in Milan, Italy but I lived also in Rome and in Stockholm, two amazing and completely different cities.

What is your favorite travel memory?

My trip in Cambodia two years ago and my trip to Saint Peterburg. Both of them were super interesting and fun. In both trips, I discovered countries very different from mine and very fascinating. In Cambodia I appreciated the nature and kindness of the population. Russia, the culture and fantastic museums.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I've grown a lot 'cause I had the possibility to travel a lot and this is our main passion. I went to India, UK, Irland, Germany...

In every business trip, I have the opportunity to get in touch with many people from all over the world. This is very interesting and stimulating for me.

Furthermore, our working group is also very young so it is easy to communicate and work together.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

Our students come from all over the world (more than 25 years) and it's always interesting hearing their stories.

Furthermore, our students then have the opportunity to make internships all over the world thanks to our travel grants and it is always very interesting to listen to their experiences in hospitals all over the world.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

It will be the Medical School.

I studied management, but I would have definitely liked to study medicine. Another aspect that I would have loved of our university is that I could have studied with classmates from all over the world and with an international curriculum that would have given me the opportunity to work abroad.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

We are a young group and very close to our students. Our international office and the student office above alll are always ready to help the students in all their needs. I think this is one of the keys of our success.

I am very proud of my team when I understand that we have worked together on the job and have achieved the goals we have set ourselves.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

The key factor for a successful company is the collaboration. It is important to understand that we all work together and for one purpose: to attract the best students from all over the world and prepare them for their future medical profession in the best possible way. Another key to our success is dynamism: change is good if it is needed to grow and we always try to adapt to new needs that may arise.
