If you’re looking for a volunteer experience that’s equal parts adventure and purpose, volunteering with ITF is unforgettable! You’ll be helping build water kiosks that give entire communities access to clean drinking water. Once built, local kids get to run the kiosks like a small business and gain real life skills.

I volunteer with the team, and they are full of passionate, friendly people who genuinely want to make a difference, and every day you’ll feel like you’re part of something bigger. This isn’t just travel, it’s hands on, meaningful work that changes lives. You’ll come away inspired and connected in a way you can’t get from a normal trip. I traveled to Kenya with ITF in 2024 and had an unforgettable experience. Our partners at ITF Kenya helped us find the best sports, tourist-y and local, while keeping in mind what we wanted to see. I got to explore so much nature and see so many amazing animals, alongside going to some picture-perfect spots for my travel buddy. We also got to have home-cooked Kenyan meals and our ITF Kenya partners helped me get a great pedicure and my travel buddy a great massage during our off time. We got to explore the markets, have amazing food, and feed the local cats. The most impactful part of the trip, however, was watching the first people use the fountain after its installation. Seeing how eager the locals were to use what we had been working on and hearing from the ones willing to be interviewed for social media was such a rewarding and unique experience.

As a volunteer with ITF, I'm confident in their abilities to deliver their promises, as the organization is assembled with individuals who are passionate about community engagement work and want to advocate for a bigger cause!

ITF had successfully organized trips that combine educational and traveling opportunities for individuals who enjoy both community work and exploring the rich natural and cultural landscape in African countries. The main goal of the program is for registrants to observe and have a hands-on experience with the process of setting up reliable water sources in either African urban or rural areas. Otherwise, participants also have the opportunities to visit major landmarks like beautiful national parks to learn in-depth about their visited location.

As a current high school senior and part-time college student volunteering alongside ITF USA, I’ve seen firsthand how hardworking and determined the team is in reaching their goals. They are incredibly mission-driven and stay focused on making a real impact in the communities they serve.

What I really appreciate is how supportive and flexible they are. They’re always willing to help, answer questions, and guide you while still holding themselves to high standards and meeting deadlines efficiently. There’s a strong sense of accountability and care in everything they do.
