I Recommend: Small Classes, Inexpensive, Personal Attention

I recommend iTTi Istanbul. The low class size is one major reason to take this class. I appreciate immensely having the freedom to ask clarifying questions at all times. And because the workload is compressed and detailed, having the environment that supports any follow up questions at any time i believe is crucial to your development.

Also, the instructors are approachable and do everything they can within their power to accommodate your learning style. And I do not say this lightly. All the students, based on their own personality and learning behavior, were adapted to throughout this relatively inexpensive course. So in the end, although the course is inexpensive as I say, it is still a sizable investment for most any individual and I am happy I chose iTTi Istanbul.

The day I received my TESOL certificate is one of the most important, satisfying accomplishments of my life.

ITTI Istanbul

I was looking for a course that could be both affordable and enjoyable and saw an ad on Google with good offers from ITTI Istanbul. I never regretted it.In addition to meeting two great coursemates, I also received tons of valuable information. Being a certified teacher of English in Ukraine gave me an opportunity to relate to the modern methods of teaching that this course advocates. Besides, we had two wonderful teacher trainers, Kate amd Metin, who were always helpful if there was a need. In general, the 4 weeks went by very quickly, notwithstanding the fact that the workload was a bit overwhelming. I recommend this course to everyone who is ready to upgrade their teaching to the whole new level.You will surely enjoy it:)

Ready to start teaching!

I had a great time and gained a lot of experience. The focus is on the teaching practice and this was one thing that I liked a lot. It was an intensive four-weeks course but I think it was worth it. The staff is professional and they provide 24/7 support.
We had materials support and the theory was related with the practice and this made things easier. I met new people and we shared our life experiences and were helping each other during the classes.

Is trongly recommend this program to anyone who want to start a teaching career or upgrade their knowledge.

An Amazing Program

It was really wonderful. Before I took the course, I used to think that I can teach English to anybody because I know English Language well. After the course, I am telling that anybody who wants to teach English Language need to take this course. The modern techniques are really attractive to students and students can learn easier. Also, the atmosphere was really amazing. The lecturers were very kind and did their best.

The beautiful journey with ITTI

So many unanswered questions in life and this review is actually one of such, a rhetorical kind...its a unique, beautiful and extremely challenging experience that I will forever cherish.The focus is strictly on the teaching practice, understanding of the core values of teaching. Honestly at some point I felt like I have been a teacher for donkey years. It was really an unimaginable experience.There's really no point of contemplating. It's just the perfect place for anyone who is serious and want to start something new......all hail ITTI

Why did you pick this program?

This program offers a practical understanding of the material and hands-on experience with real ESL students. Istanbul is magical and offers opportunities for those who want to start a new adventure, learn about an ancient culture, traditional food and customs, and many wonderful places.

The excitement of starting a new chapter in your life and meeting new people, having fun, sharing experience and knowledge as well as learning something new and the constant professional development was my goal when I chose this program. Traveling can help people discover the things they never knew exist.

This program is great because teachers gain a lot of experience in teaching, teachers learn how to observe a class, how to create an effective lesson plan and share opinions with their colleagues. It prepares teachers for the upcoming challenges in their future development as professional teachers.

What do you tell your friends who are thinking about going abroad?

I think that traveling is the best thing that can happen to a person. I was traveling around the world and visited many places so far and I won't stop here since Japan is my next destination. I have seen and learned a lot of things and interesting facts that I would have never learned if I stayed at home. I mostly learned these things from people I met since most of my friends are from different countries and the best part is that no matter where we are, we still find time to visit each other and do something different every year.

We volunteer, we work on different projects in education, we teach and this makes everything exciting for us because we can share different stories every time we meet.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

Those interested in taking this program must know that they should be prepared for an intensive, professional, serious approach to studying and learning new techniques, ways of teaching and making your classroom an organized place. They should be aware that they will get a lot of information and it is great if they take notes during the classes.

The materials are practical and will guide them no matter where they will go in the future. The staff is responsible and there 24/7 to give help and support but the teachers must be prepared all the time with questions or concerns regarding the material.

What's your favorite story to tell about your time abroad?

I don't have a favourite story but I can tell that meeting new people and visiting different places was special for me. The time I spent in New York, Washington DC, California, Germany, Austria, Antalya, Istanbul etc. was wonderful and makes a perfect story itself.

Last words of wisdom?

Prospective travelers should be ready to ask a lot of questions before they move to another country or travel. The most important questions are related to the name of the organization, travel cost, program cost, what is covered by the program, accommodation, climate changes during the year, health and travel insurance, opportunities.

Which destination is most underrated? Conversely, which is most overrated?

Unfortunately, Istanbul is generally underrated despite begin one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and compared to other big cities, it is relatively cheaper to live here, both for training and afterwards. There is a huge demand for English teachers -- people also have some biases that you cannot receive quality training in such cities where English is not the native language. This is not true -- you can!

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

This is definitely not like teaching General English. People here are more motivated and they know what they want and this also motivates me to prepare better lessons everyday to help them feel ready to start teaching after completing this course.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

One student said, after starting his teaching career, he came across with almost everything we told them during the course and since he was already taught what and how to react, he solved many problems before they got bigger.

What unique qualities does your company possess?

Our company always tries to provide the best training to our candidates. Besides our trainers, we also invite experienced native English teachers who have been working in Turkey for some time and they also share their experience in Turkey as a foreigner. We also take our students to an excursion (free of charge) to show the beauties of the city.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

When a former student called and said "Thank you for all your efforts!", because she got a really decent job and was happy with her school.
