Ixchel Spanish School

I had a wonderful experience at Ixchel Spanish school! I took 4 hours of one-on-one Spanish lessons per day for two weeks, and it was a great way to improve my Spanish in a short amount of time.

The teachers were excellent, patient, and supportive. I really appreciated that the lessons were personalized to my level, learning pace, and specific needs. Having private Spanish classes made it easier to ask questions, practice speaking, and focus on the areas where I wanted to improve.

The schedule was also flexible. There is a 30-minute break during the lessons, but you can decide whether you prefer to take the full break or have a shorter one, depending on your learning style and schedule.

Another great advantage is the homestay accommodation with meals, which makes the experience even more immersive. Staying with a local host is a wonderful opportunity to practice Spanish outside the classroom and learn more about the local culture.

The school is conveniently located just a few blocks from the central park, making it easy to explore the town and enjoy the surrounding area. I can’t say enough good things about this school. The pre-arrival communication was super clear, and they made a genuine effort to pair me with a teacher who suited me perfectly. My classes were fantastic!

Beyond the lessons, the atmosphere among the students was great, lots of friendly people to chat with who all loved their experience too. You might find slightly cheaper options if you look around, but the culture here is just different. From conversations with my teacher, it’s clear they truly care about their people, which makes a huge difference. Highly recommend!
