Kulaniapia Community Project

Aloha!
We are an off-grid natural farm and intentional community, located just outside of Hilo, Hawaii. Our program focuses on helping members develop personal and professional skills that will empower them to live a more fulfilling and sustainable lifestyle. Skills learned range from organic farming, hospitality management, construction, housekeeping, animal care (currently chickens and goats), project collaboration, and much more! Our space is shared with several off-grid rental cabins where we host guests from all over the world. In addition to these rental cabins, we offer guest experiences such as farm tours, cooking classes, massage, and waterfall rappelling. Community members can be trained to deliver these experiences, if they wish.
We live, play, and work together on this journey, while working hard to care for the land, grow our own food, and support partner organizations that enable us financially.
