My daughter loved it

The Next Gen Man City business program has been a great experiance for my child. It gave them a real insight into how a top sports team works, from marketing to leadership and strategy. My daughter loved the marketing session especially. The mentors were supportive and knowledgable, and the course helped build confidence and practical skills. Most importantly, it played a big role in helping my child secure a place at college, giving them a clear pathway and strong foundation for the future. Super happy with this program and would recommend to all. Can't wait to visit Manchester again.

It has helped my son get his first job in sport

My eldest son, Brock, took the Next Gen pre-college program a couple of years back. He had an awesome time.

He loved the workshops and meeting staff at City. He made lots of connections with both his peers and the staff at City, which has helped him to develop his skill set. It helped him decide he wanted a career in sport and having Manchester City on his resume definitely helped open some doors.

Brock loved being in Manchester, as did I. I flew over for the closing ceremony and it was a pretty awesome experience visiting the Manchester City stadium. Thanks for making me feel so welcome.

A World-Class Learning Experience at Manchester City

The Next Gen: The Business of Football summer program at Manchester City was an outstanding and truly inspiring experience. The program offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at how a world-class football organization operates, blending strategic business insight with the culture, values, and innovation that define Manchester City.

From learning directly from industry professionals to engaging with real-world case studies, every session was both intellectually stimulating and practically relevant. The content went far beyond theory, covering key areas such as commercial strategy, branding, leadership, data analytics, and the global football ecosystem—all delivered at an exceptionally high standard.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
The most surprising thing I did was gaining behind-the-scenes access to how a world-class football organization like Manchester City truly operates. Seeing areas and processes that are normally hidden from the public—across operations, strategy, and day-to-day decision-making—was eye-opening.

It was surprising to realize how much coordination, innovation, and business thinking goes into every aspect of the club beyond the pitch. Being able to observe this firsthand transformed my understanding of football from just a sport into a complex, global business driven by data, leadership, and long-term vision.

Manchester City

I sent my daughter to the summer camp last year and she had a great time! There were lots of different nationalities on the course. So it was a great experience to play with and meet people from all over the world. The football training was great fun and the Manchester City coaches were very knowledgeable. The students stayed in the centre of Manchester in university accommodation rooms and had good activities in the evenings. Definitely recommend - a great experience for kids that love soccer!!
