Classical university oriented to economics, management, marketing, public and media relations, finance and banking, tourism, informatics, agriculture, forestry, wood processing, horticulture, technology, and food processing. Settled in Brno and Lednice, Czech Republic.

Mendel University in Brno is the oldest independent university of its specialization in the Czech Republic. Its origin was preceded by efforts to create a high agricultural education in Moravia since 1864, which, however, failed to overcome political, economic and national obstacles. Only the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak Republic in October 1918 allowed it to be established.
