Certificate Program

I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of this incredible dance program in New York! The moment I stepped into the studio, I knew I was in the right place. The environment is warm, welcoming, and buzzing with energy.

The classes are challenging, yet nurturing, and the teachers are truly exceptional. Their expertise, passion, and dedication to their craft are evident in every session. From technique to repertoire, each class is carefully crafted to help dancers grow and thrive.

The opportunities offered through this program are unparalleled. From performances at iconic NYC venues to workshops with industry leaders, the program provides a platform for dancers to showcase their talents and connect with the dance community.

What truly sets this program apart, however, is its sense of community. The faculty and staff are supportive, encouraging, and genuinely invested in each student's success. The camaraderie among students is palpable, making every rehearsal and performance feel like a collaborative celebration.

If you're looking for a dance program that will push you to new heights, surround you with talented artists, and make you feel at home, look no further. This program is a gem, and I feel grateful to be a part of it.

What is your favorite travel memory?

As I am originally from New York, and therefore, never had the experience of traveling here, I would say however, that every day living in this city creates a new favorite memory. Even after years of living here, the opportunities to find new places, see new streets, and visit new neighborhoods, are endless. Everyday brings a new adventure in a city that truly never sleeps.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Since working for Peridance, I have grown to embrace changes as opportunities for growth and have fun in the role I play. Helping provide the chances for international students to come to New York, watching them go from arriving to finishing their program, I have learned to not only love the role I play, but feel the tremendous purpose it provides people embarking on this journey.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

The best story I have heard from a return student has been one of our Certificate Program students. After finishing her program, she came back to Peridance to teach the current Certificate Program students and choreograph a dance for their performance project. Watching a student become a choreographer and teacher, having started their beginnings at Peridance Center, was a full circle moment.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would choose between the Certificate Program or the Independent Study Program. With such a dedicated, high-level training for whichever track chosen (between Classical or Commercial), our Certificate Program is very specially designed for students that want to become professional dancers and pursue a career in the dance industry. With the option of working for a year in the United States after the two year program, I would choose the Certificate Program if I was high skilled and highly passionate about chasing my dance dreams. However, if I was still in the process of learning how to dance and wanted to shape my studies to reflect my personal interests and my personalized training, I would choose the Independent Study Program. I would like the freedom of building my own schedule and choosing whichever dance classes I most wanted to take.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

Our personal involvement makes our school and everyone on our team particularly unique. We are deeply entrenched in the lives and wellbeing of our students, often times taking classes alongside them and experiencing classes with them. This develops a sense of camaraderie between administration and student that is admirable and felt for all that walk into this building.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

What makes our company unique is also our biggest factor in being successful. Peridance is made to feel like a large family, where we continuously support, uplift, and cheer on our students both during their programs, as well as after, watching, aiding, and cheering them on well into their professional careers.
