About Program
The Certificate Program at Peridance Center is a two-year, high-level training program for intermediate and advanced dance students, to pave the way for a professional career in dance. With a choice between two different tracks, the Contemporary/Ballet Track or the Commercial Dance Track, the Certificate Program aims to provide rigorous, detailed, and advanced level technique training to nurture artistic development and develop professional performance skills. Through audition only for students between the ages of 17 and 25, the program spans 72 weeks, split into semesters of fall, winter, spring, and summer, each with allocated vacation breaks. Depending on the track chosen, the Ballet/Contemporary track provides a more conservative approach to technique training, with the goal of preparing students to work for ballet or contemporary dance companies, while the Commercial track aims to give students the opportunity to eventually break into the commercial entertainment industry.
