Project Rousseau

Why choose Project Rousseau?

At Project Rousseau, our mission is to empower youth in communities with the greatest need to reach their full potential and pursue higher education.

We achieve this by delivering mentoring, academic support, community service programs and international cultural exchanges for the young people referred to us. We take a holistic approach to our students' education and development because we believe that academic problems rarely have academic causes. We strive to give every one of our students the opportunity of a college education.

Our students typically start our program as high school students, however we will accept any student who shows the attitude and willingness to better their future. Thus, our students range from ages 10 to 21 and typically come from families with average income of less than $10,000. All of our students are living well below the poverty line. A growing portion of our student body is comprised of homeless, foster care and Native American Reservation students.
