About Program
A Gap Year Fellowship at Project Rousseau offers the unique opportunity to work in a growing non-profit organisation with a high level of responsibility.
The responsibilities of a GYF are as varied as they are crucial to the organisation's work. Your exact role will be determined by your particular skills and interests, and the needs of the organisation at the time. Areas of work could include, but would not be limited to, student support and tutoring, finance and grant applications, public relations and social media, and event planning and organisation.
By taking part in this program, you would help to directly support and improve the life chances of some of the most disadvantaged children in New York City and across the USA. In addition to this, you would gain valuable preparation for working in the charity sector, human services and social sciences.
The program length is between 3 and 12 months, starting either late August or early January.
