Ritmo del Río Spanish School & Nature Reserve

Why choose Ritmo del Río Spanish School & Nature Reserve?

Ritmo del Río is a 14-hectare jungle reserve, organic farm, and Spanish language school three hours from Medellín. We are a Conservation and Regenerative Tourism Hub, born from fourteen years of work restoring degraded cattle land into a thriving ecosystem.

We offer personalized Spanish immersion classes with experienced teachers.
Most of our activities center on conservation and biology: our onsite biologist leads birdwatching at sunrise, night walks through the reserve, wildlife monitoring with trap cameras, and aquatic life surveys in the river.

Students live on-site in dorms (private cabin optional) and eat at our restaurant (including veggies and eggs from our organic farm).

They can volunteer in our permaculture projects to make their stay more affordable. Beyond language learning, our guests join free weekly activities like salsa, colombian percussion, and yoga. We are the best option for travelers that want to learn, reconnect with nature and be off the beaten path.
