Saint Louis University was founded in 1818 on the Jesuit tradition of “educating the whole person.” Today it is considered one of the top 100 research institutions in the United States. Its Madrid Campus opened in 1967 and has been awarding university degrees since 2003.

The Madrid Campus offers financial aid to more than half of its students. U.S. citizens or permanent residents are also eligible to apply for federal financial aid through FAFSA.

Study Abroad in Madrid at Saint Louis University

Great host family experience, now fluent in Spanish, lived in safe neighborhood, school is beautiful and very helpful. Lots of American students, whether they were permanent or studying abroad. Spent a lot of money on food in Madrid because the cafeteria at the school was bad. If you want to live alone, also good apartments near the school.

What would you improve about this program?
Teach more courses in Spanish and less in English.
