Scales Nature Park
Why choose Scales Nature Park?
Scales Nature Park is a conservation facility focused on Canadian reptiles and amphibians. As a licensed zoo, it is home to the largest and most complete live collection of native and extoic herpetofauna. The Research and Conservation Building is home to our field operations like Saving Turtles at Risk Today (START) project, and the new Georgian Bay Conservation Action, Research and Education about Snakes (CARES) project is also based here, as well as smaller conservation projects. This building also hosts an offshoot organization, the Georgian Bay Turtle Hospital, which became an authorized wildlife rehabilitation facility in January, 2020.
