The best spontaneous decision I’ve ever made

I joined SIP totally by chance. A close friend of mine was supposed to go with her sister, but when her sister couldn’t make it, she called me and said, “You have to come with me!” It was a last-minute decision, and I’m so grateful the organizers made it possible. They were incredibly flexible and kind, and everything was arranged smoothly even though it was so last minute.

I’m the daughter of Spanish-speaking parents, but I never really learned the language growing up. Thanks to this program, I’ve not only improved a lot, but I’ve also started to feel more connected to my roots. The daily classes are extremely useful — you learn things that you immediately use during the day, in real situations, so they stick with you naturally.

One of the most unforgettable moments was the flamenco night. Having a professional dancer performing just for us, right there in the house, was something I’d never experienced before. You can instantly tell the difference between a show for tourists and a real, passionate performance. And the best part? We had dinner with the artists afterward — asking questions, listening to their accents, sharing stories… I never imagined I’d live something like that during a language immersion.

This program is truly amazing. The more people discover SIP, the harder it’s going to be to find a spot. I recommend it to anyone who wants a real experience — because programs like this don’t come around often.

I joined with my 9-year-old… and it was amazing

I was the last person to join the SIP program, and before confirming, I asked if it would be possible to bring my 9-year-old son. From the beginning, SpanishLink was very clear that the program is designed for adults. But since I was the final participant to sign up, they kindly offered to ask the rest of the group if they were comfortable having a child join. Everyone said yes — and we got the green light.

I was a bit nervous at first, but I couldn’t have chosen better. Everything — absolutely everything — was adapted so my son could be part of it without changing the experience for others. Even the wine tasting was personalized for him — they organized a juice tasting, where he described flavors and sensations in Spanish! During the cooking class, he made dessert with the help of the chefs, Rafa and Fer, who were incredibly patient and kind. They were always attentive, making sure he was safe and included, but without interrupting the flow of the program.

It was truly wonderful. We didn’t just learn Spanish — we lived it. We practiced more than eight hours a day, and both of us felt comfortable and supported the entire time. From day one, you can tell you can trust this team completely.

I highly recommend it, even if you have kids. Talk to them — they’re flexible, caring, and will do everything they can to make it work.
Everything is personalized, down to an unimaginable level.

Guys, we’ll definitely see each other again!

The best spontaneous decision I’ve ever made

I joined SIP totally last minute. A close friend of mine was supposed to go with her sister, but when her sister couldn’t make it, she called me and said, “You should come!” — and I did. Honestly, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

From the very beginning, the SIP team was incredibly flexible and welcoming. They made everything easy for me, even though it was such a last-minute change. I felt like they really cared about making it possible.

I’m the daughter of Spanish-speaking parents, but I never learned the language growing up. This week helped me reconnect with that part of myself. The daily classes were super useful — we learned things that we immediately used throughout the day, during the activities and conversations. It made it so much easier to remember and make Spanish feel natural.

One of my favorite moments was the flamenco night. Having a professional dancer performing right in the house was unforgettable. You can really see the difference between a show made for tourists and a real, passionate performance. Dinner with the artists afterwards — asking them questions, listening to their accents, sharing stories — was something I never imagined I’d experience in a language program.

This program is truly special. The more people find out about SIP, the harder it’s going to be to get a spot. I recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their Spanish and live something genuinely unique.

I felt like home in Spain

I didn’t expect SIP to feel so real. It’s not just a language program — it’s a week where Spanish becomes part of your everyday life.

The food was one of the first things that surprised me. Everything was homemade, local, and shared around a big table. It wasn’t fancy or staged — it was honest, fresh, and full of flavor. Lunches turned into long conversations, and dinners felt like sitting with friends you’d known for years.

The amount of Spanish you speak is no joke. You talk from the moment you wake up until you go to bed. Sometimes you’re tired, sometimes you laugh at your own mistakes, but you keep going — and that’s where the magic happens. By the end of the week, you realize you’ve stopped translating in your head.

And then there’s the team. They’re not just organizers; they’re people who genuinely care. They listen, they adapt, they make sure everyone feels comfortable and part of the group. You can tell they put their hearts into it.

SIP doesn’t feel like a course — it feels like a week of connection, language, and discovery. And somehow, you come back home speaking better Spanish without even noticing when it happened.

The week that made me feel ready for life in Spain

I joined SIP a few weeks before starting my MBA in Barcelona, thinking it would be a good way to warm up my Spanish. Honestly, it was one of the best decisions I could’ve made.

From the very first day, you start speaking Spanish — not because someone forces you to, but because it feels natural. You talk during breakfast, on the way to activities, while cooking, hiking, doing yoga… you just live in Spanish. It’s incredible how comfortable it becomes after a few days. By the end of the week, I was speaking without overthinking, and actually enjoying every conversation.

The house was amazing — really comfortable, with plenty of space to relax, and right in the heart of the area. All the meals were included, and everything was freshly cooked every day by the SIP team. The food was a big highlight for me. I have a peanut allergy, and they designed a special menu for me from day one. I never had to worry about a thing — they took care of every detail.

What makes SIP special, though, is the people. The team isn’t just teaching Spanish; they’re making sure you feel part of something. You talk, you laugh, you make mistakes, and somehow you end up learning more than you expect — about the language and about yourself.

If you’re moving to Spain, or just want to feel confident speaking Spanish in real life, this program is perfect. It gave me exactly what I needed before starting my life in Barcelona.
