From Zero Confidence to Speaking Spanish Nonstop!

I came to SIP Tenerife with my partner, feeling pretty nervous. Out of all the students, I had the lowest Spanish level, and I worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up. But after just one week, I can’t believe how much my Spanish improved—it exploded! Álvaro was so attentive to my level and always made sure I felt supported, which made a huge difference. Plus, being surrounded by students with a higher level actually helped me push myself more than I ever thought I could. By the end of the week, I felt like the gap between my level and theirs had almost disappeared.

One thing I really appreciated was how inclusive the program was for my partner, who doesn’t speak Spanish. SIP makes sure that partners are fully part of the experience. They joined us for every activity and had fun participating as the “Spanish police,” making sure the rest of us spoke Spanish throughout the day. It was such a clever way to keep the immersion going and to practice switching between English and Spanish—something I really value since I work with Spanish-speaking patients.

The week was so much more than I expected. The activities, the dynamic of the group, and the effort the team puts into creating a personalized experience made it unforgettable. SIP isn’t just about learning Spanish; it’s about growing your confidence, connecting with amazing people, and truly immersing yourself in the language. Highly recommend it, especially if you’re coming with a partner—they’ll have an amazing time too!

A Perfect Balance of Learning, Relaxation, and Adventure

As someone who’s 50 and has traveled quite a bit, I can honestly say that SIP Tenerife was one of the most well-thought-out programs I’ve ever joined. From the moment I arrived, I felt cared for in every way. I have a specific diet, and the team went above and beyond to ensure I had delicious meals that fit my needs. That level of attention really stood out to me.

What I loved most about the week was the balance. There was plenty of structured Spanish practice, but also the freedom to rest and enjoy some downtime. The team was so thoughtful, always making sure we had space to recharge. I spent several peaceful moments soaking in the incredible views from the house—it felt like my own little retreat.

I also appreciated that the program wasn’t just confined to the house. The activities outside, like exploring the island and kayaking, made the experience feel dynamic and fresh. I got to see more of Tenerife while still practicing Spanish in real-life situations.

This wasn’t just a learning experience—it was an adventure, a retreat, and a chance to connect with amazing people. I’m so grateful to the SIP team for creating something so unique. Highly recommend!

An Unforgettable Spanish Week

What a week! I joined SIP Tenerife not really knowing what to expect, and it ended up being one of the best experiences of my life. The house was stunning, perched on a hill with breathtaking views of the ocean—I couldn’t believe I was waking up to that every morning.

The whole week felt like a perfect mix of learning and fun. We were always practicing Spanish, but it never felt forced. The team made sure we were comfortable and engaged, and I loved how natural the conversations felt. My favorite activity? Definitely kayaking! Paddling out on the water, spotting dolphins, and chatting with the group in Spanish was unforgettable.

And let me tell you, the food was amazing. The chefs were so thoughtful, always checking in to make sure we were happy and even adjusting meals to our preferences. Little details like that made the experience so personal.

I left feeling like I’d not only improved my Spanish but also made genuine connections and memories. If you’re thinking about doing this, stop thinking and just book it—you won’t regret it!

An excellent adventure in Seville!

If you are looking for a top-rate Spanish immersion program, I can highly recommend this program, as I have experienced it firsthand. I had the luck of traveling to Seville, Spain and staying in a beautiful Spanish home with this amazing team. The team is extremely friendly and they are by your side the entire week. The dishes served were local cuisine cooked fresh in the home that you reside in for the week.... and they were delicious! All fresh ingredients with a lot of variety. The day trips provided were interesting, educational as far as learning about Spanish culture, and most importantly....fun! There are some small breaks during the days to learn spanish in an informal manner, but honestly, you are learning Spanish all day, as you are engaged in speaking to the team about every day situations and everyday life. The team also speaks English, so no worries if your Spanish is at a beginner level. I think a spanish student at any level of Spanish speaking would enjoy the immersion trip and return home with a larger vocabulary, increase in comfort level for speaking Spanish with native speakers, and new friends!

Amazing experience that I want to repeat

This program was a fantastic opportunity to enhance my Spanish skills, taking me from A2/B1 to B1/B2 in just a short period. Beyond language improvement, it also brought me incredible new friendships, a deeper appreciation for Spanish culture, and unforgettable memories. The engaging activities, professional instructors, and supportive environment made learning enjoyable and immersive. Now I’m even more motivated to continue this journey and can’t wait to join this amazing team again, this time in Tenerife!

SIP in Seville

First time in Spain and I had a blast! Alvaro put together such a great program, and that was the first one! We had all sorts of fun activities planned on the daily. We got to explore Seville In-depth and try out some pretty cool restaurants. We also ventured outside the city a couple times which was amazing as well. You will see a huge improvement in your Spanish because you are “practicing” most of the day. I can’t recommend this immersion program enough, Alvaro and his team really put together a great program!

Much fun and valuable!

This program is so amazing and actually THE way to learn Spanish.
I moved to Spain without speaking a word of Spanish and I did not speak much when I joined the program this year in March. I have learned so much and improved both, my speaking and my listening skills immensely.
I actually learned how to say things without sounding like a translator and gained so much confidence in using the language.
Since the students share everyday life with the native speakers, everything you talk about is somehow interesting and helpful. No boring topics.
The activities were so much fun, the people were amazing, the food was not only delicious but also local and that week really took my Spanish to the next level! I'm looking forward to the next SIP and maybe I'll see you there. If there is a spot left, go get it, you won't regret it!

One of my best experiences overseas.

My Spanish immersion in Seville was absolutely amazing. One of the highlights for me was the flamenco show we had at the house with Pilar – the energy and passion were incredible! I also loved the Spanish expression cards we received every day. They helped me learn new phrases such as "Un huevo" meaning "a lot". Now I use it all the time. Every detail of the program made me feel like I was truly living the Spanish culture.
The SIP team was truly unique, they were always available, willing to help.
I can’t wait to return for more!

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
Everything was unfamiliar to me. The Spanish food that we have in my country is not even close to the one I had, the real one! Everything was delicious and handmade.
Pros
  • Amazing food
  • Great classes
  • Living the country like a Spaniard

A truly immersive experience!

I had the best time during my Spanish immersion in Seville. My favorite activity was definitely the cooking class. We learned to make traditional Spanish dishes, and it was so much fun! Not only did I get to practice my Spanish, but I also got to enjoy delicious food while bonding with the other participants. The hands-on approach made everything feel natural and real, and I felt like I was really living in Spain. If you’re looking for an immersive experience with great people and lots of culture, this is it!

Counting the Days until the Next One!

I joined the Spanish Immersion Program in Sevilla this past spring, and I have to say, it was one of the most fulfilling experiences I've had in a long time. I’ve studied Spanish off and on over the years, but this program really helped me take my skills to the next level. The immersion aspect is what sets it apart from other courses. It’s not just about classroom time – you’re constantly using Spanish in real-life situations, from cooking classes with Fer and Rafa to exploring the city and chatting with locals.

The whole experience felt authentic, like I was truly living the language rather than just memorizing it. The team at SIP really knows what they’re doing. They created a relaxed but focused atmosphere that made learning feel natural. I walked away feeling confident in my Spanish and, more importantly, with a real appreciation for Spain and its culture. It was definitely worth the investment.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
That flamenco show... I couldn't believe we had a show for only 10 people in our own house. The atmosphere there was magic. Talking and sharing some tapas with the artist later was priceless.
Pros
  • Short daily classes
  • Homemade food
  • Full of fun and cultural activities
