Tikondane is a grassroots community centre run for and by the people of the Katete District in Eastern Zambia.

We welcome visitors passing through and volunteers for longer-term placements from all over the world. If you are interested in eco-tourism and development we'd love to meet you. Get in touch!

We provide primary education in the lively community school, and literacy and English lessons for parents and adults.
We promote better health through HIV/Aids testing and counselling, health workshops and training, education on nutrition and smallholder farming, and a village outreach programme of home-based carers.
