Vaya Volunteers

Vaya Volunteers is a travel abroad and volunteer organization that combines the adventure of a lifetime with a meaningful volunteer opportunity. We are based in the beautiful mountain town of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Because Nicaragua is poised to become the next big travel destination in Central America, the tourism industry has exploded and has emerged as one of the best ways for locals to make a living.

Our volunteers are helping to empower members of the community by teaching English to children, teens and adults. No formal teaching experience is required because all lessons are taught through activities, conversation and play.

We provide affordable all-inclusive travel packages that include airport pickup, accommodations, orientation and walking tour, 3 meals a day, volunteer placement, 24/7 support, travel assistance with excursions, optional Spanish classes and tandem conversation program, as well as a certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation upon completion.
