About Program
VAYA Volunteers organizes hour long English classes for children 5-12 years old. The lessons are structured thematically, teaching a variety of basic vocabulary and grammar skills. Each lesson includes games, activities and songs that help the children learn in a fun and playful environment. Because of this teaching style it is not necessary to have prior experience teaching English. Volunteers will participate in a training and observation day prior to being given their volunteer placement. All lesson plans and materials will be provided. This program has the freedom and flexibility to let your own personal skills and talents shine! Volunteers can prepare lessons to teach about photography, yoga, cooking, sports, dance, drawing, music or any other interest they may have.
