Volunteer Vietnam Da Nang

Last year I travelled through Asia and visited the project of Volunteer Vietnam. I was there already twice, because I liked it that much and became friends with the staff.
I went back for different reasons. I wantet to see all the lovely people I worked with and worked for again and I wanted to see the change over the last few years. The project improved a lot and also the facilities.
More about the project: They make a weekly schedule to see where and with whom you are working. We take care of orphan children, we teach English in different schools and grades, we organise activities at the social support center and promote children at the disable school. There is always a lot going on. Therefore the vietnamese staff will help you with all the tasks, so you are never by your own. Also you live in a lovely house with all the other volunteer workers.
The time I had there is priceless. I learn so much about the life and the people in Vietnam. It is a project, where your help is needed and resonable. The people are so thankful and to know that you make a difference is a pretty good feeling. If you got an idea to improve things, the staff supports you energeticly. It never felt like work, when you remember the smiling faces from the day.

I have had the opportunity to be a regular volunteer with the Volunteer Vietnam team for some years now,the program they offer doing physio & social activities is quite satisfying.It can be hot & sweaty at times but its worth every drop to see the joy that comes as a result of a few hours work a day.Also what I really enjoy is the fact that we go regularly into these communities which builds friendships & an ability to make a bigger impact into these dear peoples lives ,whether it would be giving them some special one on one time, physiotherapy in our select physio room,Occupational therapy ,simple excercise routines in small groups ,outings as a group eg. lunch,swimming-are a special event; & even karaoke (they love it).The staff of Volunteer Vietnam are very supportive and have a good grasp of English,which is a great help.Lodging during your stay is excellent & you will be well fed with a mixture of vietnamese & some western food. If you are looking for an adventure & a challenge of skills you have & maybe never thought you could I highly recommend giving Volunteer Vietnam a visit

I have been volunteering with this organisation for several years now & teaching conversational English to the little ones & their teachers has been a rewarding experience.It is well supported with Vietnamese volunteer staff, as well as that there is a good relationship with the teachers who are also wanting to learn or improve their English.The kindergartens are a regular feature in the program that Volunteer Vietnam run,classroom sizes average around 15-20 children .We also run a class for the teachers when time and staff permit,classes have some structure but there is plenty of space to add your own ideas

This was my first time to go overseas and to go volunteering. I didn't quite know what to expect, but it was an amazing experience. I feel like I have met so many amazing people and I have learned so much. Just to be here with a whole group of people who want to make the best out of everything. And the people who are working here are so helpful. I would recommend this for 100%.

Also, the director, mr Viet will help you with every question that you are having and the team are always up for helping or creating ideas outside of the time that you spend volunteering.

I decided after graduation to do volunteer work I don't regret this decision. During my stay
met nice (volunteer) people. Its an opportunity to learn from each other, get to know the
culture more and be close to the Vietnamese society. After some weeks you create together
a new relationship, an life experience I'll bring with me my whole life. The projects are
divided in different society problems (children, elderly, homeless adults etc.) and for me it
was nice to help with all the projects and be connected with the people.
