About Program

You will join us and other volunteers in providing healthcare and social care programs for abandoned children, people with disabilities, and the elderly without support at social protection centers in Da Nang City. You do not need any special skills—just a kind heart and the willingness to help those in the most difficult circumstances. Your specific tasks will include supporting the care of children and the elderly, participating in physical therapy and rehabilitation activities for people with disabilities, and helping organize recreational activities for them. We will provide you with an orientation and training program upon your arrival, so you’ll gain the necessary knowledge to work effectively in the program. Our staff will accompany you to the workplace and support you with language and work-related guidance at the centers. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to participate in educational support programs for underprivileged children.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here. Learn more about how Volunteer Vietnam Da Nang is promoting ethical volunteering.
