Wildlife Habitat

The award-winning Wildlife Habitat, located in Port Douglas, is an immersion exhibit providing visitors with a chance to experience the Wetlands, Rainforest, Woodland and Savannah environments up close. The park hosts a highly regarded volunteer program.

Volunteers can choose between 4, 6 and 8 week programs. Some of the highlights include working in the park caring and provide for kangaroos and wallabies, cassowaries, Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroos and Koalas.
