About Program

Join us for the experience of a lifetime in one of the most beautiful locations in the world! Volunteers are an essential part of the team at Wildlife Habitat, where we are dedicated to contributing to the conservation and care of our captive native Australian Wildlife.

Program placement is located in Tropical North Queensland, at a zoo based in Port Douglas, 45 minutes north of Cairns. This location provides a great way to experience the wonders of the tropical north – where the Great Barrier Reef meets World Heritage rainforest. The dedicated team of wildlife keepers will assist all Volunteers embarking on this program. And, there is plenty of time on days off to explore this beautiful region!
