Tefl Blended Course- University of Witwatersrand

Received a very good service from my tutor, Mr James Pillay. He's very helpful and responsive. He explains things well. I liked that I took the Blended online course because I was able to do everything in my own time and it was easier for me to complete all the assignments, I was also able to attend later for practicals. The course contents are precise and my tutor is knowledgeable. Tefl course is very interesting and helpful with finding new skills of teaching and learning. I loved the experience.

Pros
  • Informative
  • Supportive
Cons
  • Grammar lessons were on the more difficult side

WITS TEFL Review

I completed the TEFL course at WITS Language School. This was a well-structured course that covered all the important aspects of teaching English. The instructors, David Steyn and James Pillay, were both amazing. They were organised, professional, and added a sense of fun, which was integral to the challenging nature of the programme. They both put so much effort into their teaching, which I really appreciated. I would recommend this course to anyone who would like to become a TEFL teacher, whether they would prefer to go overseas and work, or work online. This course has a high standard and equips you with everything you need to know.

Pros
  • Excellent teachers
Cons
  • I would have liked to have been able to keep the manual

Online TEFL

Doing the online TEFL course was an incredible and unforgettable journey. The course was extremely informative and the staff was amazing. The material is detailed and full of valuable information and you will learn so much more about the English language than you ever thought you would. The platform is impeccably organized and it is designed in a way that enables you to learn everything the course is meant to teach you. I would recommend this course any day and to anyone. It is worth every cent.

Awesome

On site learning was an incredible experience. A great learning environment with the possibility of creating longterm friendships with like-minded individuals. And the kindest, most attentive lecturers you'll ever get the pleasure of knowing. Shout out to James lol. Take this opportunity to invest in your future, no matter your age;)
Every lesson was fun, interesting and important. The lecturers will fully equip you with the skills you need to become a great Tefl teacher. They will also share with you fun, personal experiences that they have had while teaching overseas to give you a clearer idea of what to expect out there. They will also recommend their favourite places to teach at, the age groups that are best to teach and which countries they personally enjoyed staying at. Don't miss out on this life changing experience .

Pros
  • Student centered learning
  • Lesson Reviews and detailed explanation
  • Attention to improvements in each lesson
Cons
  • Grammar lessons were on the more difficult side
  • Some lesson plan presentations would be scheduled twice in a week so that would put a bit of pressure on you when preparing.
