Zangarna Experience

The Zangarna volunteer program has been designed for students to discover the magic of the African bush and live a unique adventure immersing themselves in a new way of life and culture. Zangarna game farm has an exclusive setting nestled in the malaria free Waterberg and home to a great variety of African animals and more over than 250 species of birds.

Gerhardt, the manager, will communicate his absolute passion for the bush while teaching you all the skills of a game ranger. If you are a student in your gap year, seeking voluntary work with wild animals in a pristine natural setting, then this program is just for you.

We only take 6 students at a time and you will be involved in a wide variety of tasks all with responsibility and rewarning experience. You will have close encounters with a range of fascinating creatures and learn the unique bushman’s skill of tracking.
