Zawadi la Tumaini

Zawadi la Tumaini Children's Home provides a loving home to orphaned and abandoned children of all backgrounds. We believe in providing our children with proper nutrition, education, and health care within an environment that builds strong family bonds. Our goal is to raise children to become responsible and dignified adults with core values that will empower them to be successful and contributing members of society.

Since opening our doors in March 2013, Zawadi la Tumaini has become home to 25 children. In addition we provide full time employment to 6 single mothers. Our unique family-based care model believes in providing quality care within a supportive family environment. In 2017 we will begin a program for single mothers We teach parenting classes, health workshops, educating and employing the women through a social enterprise initiative which supports our sustainability. We believe in hand ups, not hand outs. Family, Education, and Empowerment are our core beliefs.
