About Program
Zawadi la Tumaini Children's Home provides a loving home to orphaned and abandoned children of all backgrounds. We believe in providing our children with proper nutrition, education, and health care within an environment that builds strong family bonds. We believe in hand ups, not hand outs.
Family, Education, and Empowerment are our core values. We currently provide a home to 25 incredible children. We employ 6 hardworking single mothers. The staff and children at Zawadi la Tumaini are one family. We welcome volunteers to join us and experience the beauty that exists within Kenya.
All volunteers have the opportunity to work at the local clinic, volunteer at the children's school, experience the diversity existing within Nairobi, volunteer with our single mothers program which address the root of the orphan crisis through education and empowerment projects, and spend quality time with our children.
