What are some fun/lighter load classes?

I'm only required elective credits and am trying to avoid the heavy work loads to try and soak up more culture

Thank you so much, I will definitely look into the maor123! I was wondering what that was :)
The only really fun/ interesting lighter load class that I took was MAOR 123. It was super great to learn about the history of the Maori people and New Zealand in general. There are tons of international students in it and I would highly recommend it.
Hey, I'm currently taking MAOR 123, I was wondering how hard it was? Just curious about the workload, it's probably a bit different now but maybe still similar. I'm also taking a chem lecture and lab... in case anyone knows much about those.
Thanks (also not sure if people check this account any more, but might as well try)
I had a very similar situation as yourself when I studied abroad at Vic. Although the course is not the simplest, I would highly recommend taking MAOR123. I learned so much about Māori culture through this course and wish I could have focused more of my time on it while overseas. I also took a religion course and would not recommend it, I struggled with the work load (there were frequent essays due and I did not get good grades on them because they were very confusing).
Most of the courses are harder than I expected and I think that is just due to different learning tactics from my home university. I would suggest taking courses that are 100% internal assessment because that means they do not have a final examination and they are based on essays/in course work. But if your learning style is examination then go for those.
Hopefully this helps! Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.
