Spanish requirement

Hello, I am a nurse and are very interested in volunteering in the healthcare for Honduras. I took spanish in highschool and am able to speak it conversationally. Just wondering how important it is to be proficient in Spanish for the experience, or if it would be necessary to have a translator or take the Spanish immersion portion. Thank you :)

Spanish proficiency is not required if a volunteer will take language immersion lessons. The more experience you hope to gain from the program relies heavily on communication. If considering a Latin American location then Spanish is essential.
