Would this be a good experience for finishing up my education degree?

I would say it depends on your background and what you're comfortable with. Last summer I worked with a lot of teachers who didn't enjoy the experience because it took them too much out of their comfort zone to be in a camp setting. It's definitely more like camp than school, the kids are in the classroom only for a portion of the day. But if you've enjoyed summer camp before or are comfortable with that then you'll have a great experience!
