Do many people do this alone?

I'm 17 (almost 18) and have previously volunteered in Sierra Leone, Africa and next i want to come to Peru. The thing is no of my friends have the funds to come and my family aren't physically able to come so i have to 'do it alone' and i wondered do a lot of people do this program alone but also what support is there for lone travelers? And i have fallen in love with the pictures of Machu Picchu so would there be a chance to visit?
Yes! Our program hosts volunteers who come independently, without someone else. In fact, it's pretty rare that someone comes with a friend.
Machu Picchu is a great trip, however we encourage you do to this either before or after your time with LLI, as not to miss out on the volunteer time with our programs.
