Great experience! Outstanding school!

I had the pleasure of attending a 2-week course in this incredible language school in Athens, and I can't recommend it enough! From the very first day, I was impressed by the welcoming and professional atmosphere. The teachers are not only highly knowledgeable but also passionate about helping students. They tailor lessons to individual needs and ensure that every student feels supported and encouraged throughout their learning journey.

The curriculum is well-structured, engaging, and challenging, while still being fun. It combines practical language skills with cultural insights, making the whole experience more enriching. The school's location in Athens - Exarcheia is also fantastic—right in the heart of the city, with easy access to public transportation and a vibrant atmosphere: bars, coffee places, restaurants, taverns, bakeries! Everything!

What truly sets this school apart is its sense of community. I met people from all over the world, and it felt like more than just a language school—it was a place to build connections, make new friends. Even if I were in Athens alone, I met so many other people and we all made arrangements together like short weekend trips, dinners, drinks, museums, a visit to the Parthenon and many more!

I left the school feeling more confident in my language skills and with a deeper appreciation for the culture. I also learned a lot of slang words, think that I believe is important, while learning a language! I wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it to anyone looking to learn a new language in a beautiful and welcoming setting.

An unforgetable experience!

I spent six weeks at the Lamda Project and learned more than I ever expected. The teachers and staff are welcoming, respectful, dynamic, and incredibly knowledgeable, as well as eager to support. The interactive and engaging classes made learning enjoyable, never feeling like a typical lecture. Every session was fun and inspiring. Additionally, the cultural activities and the school's central location are a plus! It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it! I will definitely come back in the near future!

Lamda Project

Excellent tuition and support. I loved the atmosphere, the interactive and fun teaching techniques, the support from the staff and the interaction with fellow students both during and outside lessons. The Lamda Project is located in a vibrant area of Athens with excellent access to the centre and hood options for eating and accommodation. I would recommend this project for anyone seeking to learn Greek in a supportive environment. They were flexible, helped me to find a level where I felt comfortable and able to improve my speaking skills in particular.

Superb school!

I have been at Lamda in September/23 (2 weeks - Intensive).

The teachers (I had 2, both energetic, funny, patient and well prepared - I miss them!) and staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful, and the environment and atmosphere were perfect, as well.

Some foffe shops, bar and tavernas around the school.

Usually there were some extra activities, what it is a very interesting plus.

My personal experience was very positive and I can say that enjoyed every minute.

I vividly recommend this school! (and intend to return asap)

I must return to Greece just to attend class here once again!

Outstanding experience at this school. The teachers are sensitive to adult learners and obviously educated in the latest pedagogy for language acquistion. I felt like a valued member of the community of learners each week of the two weeks I attended. The school is also a terrific resource for travelers to Greece. As part of learning about the culture in Greece, I received a few great suggestions on reasonable places to eat, shop, and sightsee in Athens along with helpful information about the transit system in the city.
I must return to Greece just to attend class here once again!

Lamba Greek B1

Lamda offers introductory "A " courses in Greek for tourists augmenting their knowledge on visits and more advanced courses in the language. They also offer cultural activities and courses on Greek culture. The instruction is thorough and rigorous: four or five hours per day, interrupted each hour by short breaks and casual conversation. Coffee, biscuits/cookies and plenty of water are provided. The school is located in Exarcheia to the university, hence lots of bookshops and restaurants and convenient to the center of Athens and the touristy areas like the Akropoli and Plaka.

Pros
  • The grammar is thorough.
  • The teachers are dedicated and friendly.
  • There are also group cultural activities.
Cons
  • None

The Best Place for my "Bildungsurlaub"

The λamda Project is a beautiful, international place to learn with great teachers, fun and success. The new building is located in a nice aerea with beautiful coffee-places, tavernas and shops near Omonia Metro Station. I came for two weeks Bildungsurlaub. The classes had a good size. There was all material to start and i had every day good structured lessons. Also the cultural program in the afternoon was very interesting. There is no better place to dive into Greek Language and Culture! After two weeks it was fun to feel the progress. But there is much more to learn. So, they will see me again! ;)

Best language course!

Lamda Project is a very well organised institute. They have a good program which they follow and you can enter anytime you want. The staff is absolutely the best; friendly, funny, warm and very professional. The building is nice with an open area and coffee, tea and cookies all day long. The Exarchia area where the school is situated is inspiring with al lot of nice tavernas, bars and places to have the best coffees and sandwiches for lunch. I really learned a lot, starting from scratch and even have simple conversations with Greeks already. I can surely recommend this school if you want to have a full Greek experience. Thank you so much🙏🏻Φιλάκια Leonie

Pros

  • Nice building
  • Friendly staff

Beautiful journey

It has been an incredible journey with them: I felt welcomed as within a family, with the love and support that are fundamental to achieve the knowledge of a new beautiful and rich language like Greek

Thank you so much for everything!

You gave me the basis on which I can surely build a new comprehension of the culture that I’m so in love with.

And the possibility of sharing fears and hopes with other people like you is definitely precious, so you have the power of gathering a great crowd as well!

Incredible experience - Totally recommended

I was in Athens for some weeks as a solo traveler and I wanted to find a place to learn Greek, but at the same time have a very positive and safe environment. So I decided to visit some schools for receiving a direct feeling. Once I entered the place, I knew it directly. Smiles were everywhere, the positive energy was all over the space. Friendly people, ready to "make you part of their team" as they use to say. I had one of the best months of my life there. Great teaching, and awesome activities based on our interests. We were a big group of friends. I will definitely come back again. I miss you all guys!

Pros
  • Friendly and safe environment.
  • Central location.
  • Professionalism and flexibility.
