The conservation and ecology programs at Blue Corner have been some of the most valuable course I’ve taken over the span of my 24 years. The ability to learn material and then apply the knowledge underwater was truly a unique experience. Our teacher Egi did an amazing job teacher without words underwater - a skill I did not know existed. I would recommend this course to any scuba diver as it would even further expand their love for ocean and provide them with a new approach to learning. I made incredible friends and a deep relationship with my teachers Jackson and Egi. I’ve never craved class the way I did while completing the course. It re-sparked my love for learning and opened up possible career opportunities I never imagined.

I found Blue Corner Marine Research looking for the Reef Check Instructor course and I ended up doing all the programs they offer. These are very well structured, it is easy to learn about the different aspects of coral reefs and apply this knowledge under the water. You can pick up the programs that you are interested in but the reallity is that you will end up doing as many as you can because the vibe is friendly, the location is a paradise and the quality of the education is the best, whether you come from marine science or not. Definitely unforgotten experience 💦

I've had the chance to dive with Andrew and Egi from Blue Corner Dive for a 3-weeks internship based on reef ecology, reef biology and coral reef restoration.

It was an amazing experience, I learnt so much knowledge both from a scientific and a diving point of view.
Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida are beautiful sites to dive and to appreciate the immense biodiversity that the coral triangle offers.

I would definitely suggest to book some dives or an internship with them.
I would certainly do my experience again!

Don't regret for a second doing my IDC Course with blue corner dive. The organization of the course was regulated and everything went as it should. Best regards to my course director, I couldn't have wished for a better one, he was always there and helped where he could.
Blue Corner dive is a lovely dive Center, together with the Marine Research of Blue Corner. I can recommend it 100%- they have a big offer of super interesting courses, a great stuff and beautiful spots for diving!! Had there such a great time and made great connection with people. Looking back with a smile :)

This course was designed to provide comprehensive training in scuba diving, teaching methodologies, and leadership skills, enabling us to become a competent and effective scuba instructor.

We were provided with a thorough understanding of scuba diving theory, physics, physiology, equipment, and environment. Also we learned the teaching methodology and leadership skills required to effectively teach and lead scuba diving students.

The candidates were given ample opportunities to practice scuba diving skills, both individually and in a teaching role, and had opportunities to demonstrate mastery of skills required to become a scuba instructor.

We also were given ample opportunities to practice teaching skills, including developing lesson plans, teaching in the classroom, confined water, and open water environments, and provided with constructive feedback.

We also learned about the importance of safety in scuba diving, and how to effectively manage risks associated with diving.

Finally, we learnt about the role of a scuba instructor as a PADI professional, including how to maintain standards of conduct, interact with students and clients, and manage the business side of running a scuba diving operation.

Overall, this course scuba instructor course wase challenging, but also rewarding, providing us with the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to become a successful scuba instructor.

The course directors really know their thing, so hey pushed us hard to learn the best way we could and achieve success in the Instructor Examination. But more than that, they were always super accessible (still are whenever I need), they helped us with everything we needed, and we felt at home during the program. I would definitely recommend the program for those who want to seriously become an instructor! The facilities are really great, and we felt at home during the whole program. The specialties and dives included in the 22 days program are a plus that really makes the experience even better!

I completed the 22 day IDC and stayed in the provided dorm. The dorm was comfortable and felt safe. We had one cold shower and a seperate toilet. We each had half a shelving unit and set of hooks which was enough for spreading out our things.
I completed the course with another German girl and two guys who already worked at Blue Corner. Our group was great, we all got on really well, had fun, and supported each other. Our course director Made was also great, super supportive and fun. The blue corner team were always really helpful and living onsite meant help was always around for anything. The location was also really good to access shops, restaurants, and laundry facilities.
I would recommend this program to anyone who is willing to take on a challenge and put in the work to become a dive instructor.

From the first interaction, the team went out of their way to help, from housing to understanding your goals, to everything else you'd need. You won't find better location if you want to advance your diving skills or get your feet wet in marine conservation. Nusa Penida and Lembongan are rich in coral and marine life -- making the Blue Corner Dive experience one of the best. My only complaint about Blue Corner Dive and Conservation Center is I couldn’t stay longer.

Wow! What a crazy amazing time I had with Blue Corner! Nusa Lembongan is such a beautiful island with incredible views all around. During my Instructor Development Course, I had amazing mentorship from not one but TWO incredible course directors Cody McDonald, and Made Partayasa, who still are going out of their way to help me months after my course is over. I’m so happy that I chose Blue Corner as it’s one of the shops in Indonesia that seems to actually care; regularly running underwater cleanups, ecological conservation courses, and employing locals (which some local shops seem to not do enough unfortunately). I got to dive so many beautiful sites around Nusa Lembongan, Ceningan, and Penida as well as joining an amazing dive trip to Jungubatu to dive the USAT Liberty wreck. The dive shop has amazing facilities including pools, showers, classrooms, air conditioning (essential), a restaurant with an amazing view of Bali, all right on the beach! All of the IDCs are provided with free lunches for the duration of the program, my favourite dish was easily the Telur Balado eggs! So tasty! My girlfriend did her Divemaster at the same time and also absolutely loved the experience. We met so many friends that we have travel plans with and are hoping to have a reunion soon back on Lembongan! Her and I are planning on going back as soon as we can!
