Good quality

Despite having to wait around 2-3 hours on average for email responses, I recommend this course. I took the 120 hours TEFL and TESOL course, which turned out to be a very thought-provoking experience. There are units covering many aspects of teaching English that I hadn't even considered, like teaching kids differently, assessments, and putting students at the centre of the class. Everything was clear and all the jargon was explained and repeated, which obviously helped me learn it! There were quite a few videos, some of which showed real teachers in action for a full lesson: this was the most valuable part of the course for me.

Not too easy and a well rounded experience

I learned alot with IT. Their course (they only have 120hrs) is loaded with text and even has related videos and a good number of thought provoking quizzes and interactive tasks you do online. I did a lesson a day last month and cleared it easy enough. I recommend this for those looking for a course where you need to do a bit of reading, a bit of thinking, and not too much being bored with dense and wordy nonsense - they do a pretty good job of keeping everything simple and digestible for us non academic types!

Very happy with the course and attitude of the tutors

This is a lucky find for me in chatgpt when I looked around cheap TEFL courses. The system gave me perhaps 3 choices and one isn't cheap even one part. From the two courses that remain, I looked at both websites and I decided that this one must be the better one with me. The website where one learns is very fast. The videos that they have are actually picked nicely for extra learning and the text lessons are clear and have engaging information. There is a review text and a quiz for practicing. All of this is excellent and not expected for a price of this. The price here is not what I paid. I have paid $27 for the intrepidTEFL 120 hour course. If I have paid $99 for it, maybe I would give 4.5 star because I would expect more videography.

Very clear, easy to study, and very good value overall

The experience was good for many reasons: they've taken something that seems like it should be hard and made it pretty simple to understand. I see that as being a sign of them being good teachers. The website itself is a pleasure to use with fast sign up and responsive everything (I used my phone one day and though it was quite annoying with the small screen, the site handled it well - got some cheeky study done on the train).

The quizzes and click tasks are good for reviewing cos they give feedback every question. Lesson quizzes are fine - just have the text open on another page ;)

Really great course for a quick(ish!) certificate, though it seems TEFL courses aren't the same few hours that Reddit says they are, so don't be thinking it's done in a few hours. Nope! I actually enjoyed learning it.

Cheap, cheerful, but also very, very good!

Okay, so let's call it what it is - it's definitely a cheap TEFL course and it seems fairly new (I got chatgpt to do a full run-through on it): maybe 2 years old. F9r me, that's long enough that it surely would've been ousted by now if it wasn't legit, so I rolled with it and kept my fingers crossed. My gut was right - this is legit, and it's actually very, very good! Tutors answered my 2 emails within an hour and then within a couple of hours. The course content itself was lovely! There's a really clean feel to everything on their lms and despite a couple of minor glitches that they fixed (they said they just moved their course to that lms), it was super fluid. They have some interesting teaching techniques that help you picture everything in context, and quizzes were just right for difficulty. At the end, you just click to download your certificate which is accepted for online teaching. They told me I can get it apostilled easily if I ever decide to teach abroad, but that's not on my horizon (at least right now!). This was refreshing all in all. Strongly recommend.

Hard to complain when you get a tefl for 29 bucks

Alright so this was much better than I was told I'd get by buddies of mine and a crew of people on Reddit who warn about cheap tefl courses. This wasn't that, or it was cheap but wasn't cheap feeling, I should say. People said that being budget it'd either have a few words or alot of words but not much else, but I have to disagree. It took me a while to get through everything and of course I didn't read every word like a life guide cos who has time? But I did read lots and watched alot of videos and did there practice quizes and all of that. It was good and easily worth the cash I layed down for it. If you want cheap tefl that's not basic and want to learn something at the same time then this is the one. If they had a longer course I'd go with that too

Excellent value for a TEFL course with many feature

I met the course on ChatGPT and was not going to expect much of it. However, when I look at the free lesson, I thought it was very elegant and friendly course that was filled with informations.

The number one best thing is the course have a structure that carefully moves from easy ideas to difficult ideas and these make it friendly to understand. The language is not too difficult for me. Secondly, there is video on many page, so the text has more life. The elegant and smooth look of the website is also welcome. Even though I have experience teaching, the course is very good for me to have new ideas about activity, game, and management skill.

I recommend you to try this if new or have experience.

I learned a lot from this - and the course aesthetics are stunning!

I chose this because it was recommended by ChatGPT. The site looked good, and the accreditation checks out. After paying, I was switched over to the enrollment LMS and was able to get started right away.

There are over 20 units/lessons, meaning this is what I was expecting it to be with numerous things to learn. Every unit or lesson had lots of questions and feedback inside it, then there's a main quiz each time, so you come away feeling like you know some stuff - The videos they show are good for actually putting things into perspective. It looks doable.

Unbelievable value and really thoughtfully structured

The course was a major win for me because I was looking for something that would teach me how to get started as a teacher but not cost me too much in case I decide not to pursue it any longer than a year or so. From what I've learned, it's definitely something I might consider doing for a long time. The learning experience was interesting and there were a number of different questions and materials to help me understand everything easily. By the end, I felt really confident with myself and being able to plan a good lesson. Of course, I still need experience in the real world, which I'm told is very different, but I definitely feel ready and motivated to go get that!

I recommend the IntrepidTEFL course

I spent an hour looking through different companies and courses on the internet. I even used Perplexity to help me narrow it down based on what I needed. There are literally a hundred places to choose from. I don't regret my purchase, but I did get annoyed with a few things: no problem with the Ai voice videos as it's a nice bonus to have video which most don't seem to, but they should make the videos shorter and scatter them around with split up text; there are too many questions in my opinion - it'd be much quicker to finish if there were less assessments; and we shouldn't have to pay extra for verification in 2026.

Aside from these issues, I did learn a lot of interesting things about teaching English and feel pretty much ready to teach it, though I'm unsure of whether that will be online or overseas. If you can handle a bit of over-teaching, this is a very good course to use.
