Why moving to UNYP is worth it

I came to UNYP wondering if I would even make friends, but the community here exceeded all my expectations – by the first week I already had people I still hang out with regularly. Starting my 4th year in Communication & Media, I’m so glad I made the decision to move abroad and try studying somewhere completely different. The teachers and staff are incredibly supportive and approachable, treating you like an adult and encouraging open discussions where you can share your opinions, even if they differ from others. The courses are engaging and interactive, giving plenty of opportunities to develop practical skills. Beyond academics, there are numerous clubs, activities, and events that make campus life lively and fun.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
If I could do it all over again, one thing I would change is to get more involved in clubs and campus activities from the very beginning. While I quickly found friends and felt part of the community, diving into extracurriculars earlier would have allowed me to meet even more people, explore new interests, and make the most of everything UNYP has to offer.
Pros
  • Variety of courses can be mixed and matched, even if they’re outside your main field of study
  • Personal approach from the staff
  • Clubs and activities
Cons
  • Housing expenses in Prague (generally)

Great uni

The uni is great - education-wise, professors are knowledgeable and very willing to help and discuss everything in detail.

The course offerings are pretty vast, depending on which program you choose. When you arrive, the university organises a welcome week to get you acquainted with the city and so you can meet other students studying at the school as well as others who are there for study abroad

Student-life-wise, the student council is always organising a bunch of fun events, parties, and get-togethers. I can only recommend the school 👍

Bachelor of Psychology at UNYP

I'm in my third year of the Psychology bachelor's at UNYP, and honestly, it’s been a great experience so far. There are a lot of internship opportunities, and because the professors are active in their fields, they’ve been super helpful in guiding me toward the right ones. Thanks to the connections I made through UNYP, I’ve already found several internships and even some job opportunities.

The small class sizes make a big difference – you actually get to participate, ask questions, and feel heard. The courses go deep into the subject matter, and I really feel like I'm gaining practical knowledge.

Plus, the campus life is solid – free gym and pool, lots of clubs (or you can start your own), and everything feels modern and international. UNYP is well-respected, and I genuinely feel like I’m being prepared for whatever comes next.

Learn today lead tomorrow

Studying at the University of New York in Prague has been an incredible journey! The international environment is one of the best aspects—meeting people from all over the world and learning from different perspectives makes every class more engaging. The professors are knowledgeable, approachable, and truly invested in our success.

I really appreciate the small class sizes, which allow for interactive discussions and a more personal approach to learning. The campus is modern, well-equipped, and located in the heart of Prague, making student life even more exciting.

So far, my experience at UNYP has been fantastic, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead. If you’re considering studying here, I highly recommend it—it’s the perfect place for an internationally focused education with great opportunities!

UNYP - evaluation

I personally study Business Administration and I really like how the subjects are composed. Moreover, I would say that the way how the University works brings a valuable experience. The grade from the subjects is not composed only of one exam at the end but by several projects, presentations and midterm and final exam which gives students several options how to improve the score. Aditionally, all the exams are finished before Christmas, so no stress during holidays:). Overall, I would recommend the University of New York in Prague.

UNYP review

This is an excellent program that offers a truly supportive and kind environment. The staff are not only professional but also genuinely care about the students' well-being and success. One of the best aspects is that, being a small school, it fosters a close-knit community where everyone feels connected. This creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to thrive. Additionally, the facilities are very modern, well-maintained, and equipped with the latest technology, enhancing the overall learning experience. I have enjoyed it so far.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
A man who was asleep fell on me on the metro.
Pros
  • inclusive
Cons
  • unfair housing distribution
  • long lectures

UNYP Review

Prague is a lovely city to study in, and the experience is only amplified with this university. The social life as well as the academic experience is rich in numerous aspects - from school clubs, competitions, to study sessions in the beautiful cafes and parks all around. Whether you are a people's person or a comfortable introvert, both the university and the city will provide. You will become accustomed to the way of life really quickly, for those who fear culture shock, and if you ever need help, the people of the school are here to help.

UNYP Review

I love the many cultures which meet in UNYP, and how easy it is to make friends. The interactions which you have with your classmates are also really interesting and give you many new perspectives. The academic workload depends from class to class, but is really achievable overall. All of the professors at UNYP are really understanding and will help you when you need it, or ask for it. The Library in the opposite building, is also really practical for quick study sessions and if you just need a quiet space to complete your homework.

Review

I think that this university is very unique in the country of Czech Republic, as it is fully taught in the english languge. I am studying for the international relations degree, and so far i have to say that it has been an interesting yet challenging experience. There are many interesting topics that anyone can understand and could have an interest in. The social scene in the university and Prague overall I would consider very active. You can meet many people from the places all around the world.

Unyp

Great uni experience. Good to meet many different people from many different cultures. The coursework is very interesting and the different professors give valuable insight into different subjects, making you think about the material. It was very easy to make friends here, everyone was very friendly. The staff at the school also provided invaluable information about Prague and helped me with any questions I had about life in Prague. They also helped with finding medical help that spoke English.
