TEFL Certification Yeah

Máximo Nivel's 4-week TEFL/TESOL certification course is really well done program. The course begins with foundations in ESL pedagogy. Students in the course learn about critical techniques for teaching ESL. Then, very quickly students begin observing classes taught by TEFL certified instructors. This helps students to really visualize the techniques they have been learning about.

Before the first week of the course even ends, students begin work in the classroom. The course requires three "mini-lessons" and five full-hour lessons. This hands-on experience is perhaps the most important part of the course, when students are able to apply the ideas they have learned about and gain confidence in themselves as teachers.

Audra Wooldridge, the TEFL instructor is amazing. She brings tons of energy to the class every morning (at 9am!). Not only is she enthusiastic and fun, but she is a true expert in this field. Her knowledge of ESL teaching techniques and English grammar is really impressive. Furthermore, after observing Audra teach a class to English Language Learners, it was abundantly clear that she is an amazing English teacher! Her passion comes through in all realms and watching her teach was an amazing example of a standard to aspire to.

Throughout the course, Audra was constantly accessible. She was available to provide feedback on all assignments and lesson plans. She was always willing to talk through questions and to troubleshoot lesson planning.
