Teaching English in Guatemala

Review
With no English teaching experience, Maximo helped me feel comfortable sharing my native language skills with locals wanting to learn English. They provided me with a crash TEFL course. They showed me how to get to my school the first time, and introduced me to the other staff. Once a week they came by to check how things were going. Also, whenever I was at the office, which was daily since I took Spanish classes in the afternoon, I could easily ask for any assistance I might need. The program support staff, Estephan, Wally, and Nancy were always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this organization. They have lots of other volunteer opportunities too, if teaching English isn’t your interest. And Antigua is a very easy city to spend time in.
